Hi there!

So this is my first post to my new blog at my new website. Why a new website? It all started many years ago when I run a huge Star Trek fansite, some of it can still be accessed through the Internet Archive.

Then I started studying and working and from then on my websites got simpler, because my free time got less ... . So the next website was much simpler and I started to focus on easy maintainence:

Of course, this was still too much and got hopelessly out of date at some time, so I tried yet another approach, where the site consisted of a simple blog and a link to my photo gallery.

This was much better, and this version can be seen as in improvement to this approach. I'm now using the google blogger service for blogging and flickr for my photos.

The aim of all this is of course to have a nice web presence with the least maintainance efforts possible ;-)

Oh...and btw, that photo is me at the chinese wall, taken earlier this month :-).
